It was almost an immediate improvement in the performance of the dish washer when the system was installed. All evidence of the white crusty calcium residue also disappeared. I can only imagine the additional life my hot water heater will realize due to the same conditions. I also had a 20″ Big Blue 20 Micron carbon filter installed for additional protection. With well water and semi-annual flushes of the neighborhood water supply, I felt this system would catch any harmful materials that would be present. Between my two systems and the filter in the refrigerator itself, I see no need to purchase bottled water as our water tastes great.
